Shelter SA is committed to upholding the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).  We recognise the importance of privacy and community awareness regarding the collection, use, disclosure and security of personal and sensitive information which we may collect during the course of our many functions.  This Shelter SA Privacy Policy sets out how we manage your personal and sensitive information and protect your privacy. 

When do we collect information?

We collect information from you when you fill out a form or enter information on our website or app.

What information we collect

The type of information we may collect and hold includes de-identified data such as:

• Age range
• Postcode or locality

How we may use your information
De-identified data such as age range and postcode will only be collected to determine greatest areas of need and statistic purposes.  We will not supply any information to marketing organisations or other third parties.

Shelter SA will not collect and/or store any personal or sensitive information as a result of your usage of the Pickle App or website. 

Third-party disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information unless we provide users with advance notice. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release information when it's release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property or safety.

However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

We take all complaints very seriously and we will endeavour to respond to your complaint and address your concerns as soon as reasonably practicable. 

Internet and Email Privacy
We do not collect any personal information on visitors who access our Pickle website or App.
We may collect non-personal information that allows us to log limited information about visitors to our website for statistical purposes, such as:

• Number of unique sessions as identified by server address and top-level domain name (e.g. .com, .gov, .org, etc);
• Number of page hits;
• Pages accessed or downloaded by session;
• Type of browser being used;
• Length of time spent on the site and on particular pages;
• Type of device being used (e.g. desktop or mobile); and type of mobile device being used (e.g. iPhone)
